Boston Whaler reversible pilot seat cushion.  Uses 3" Ultra High density foam, and 3/4" treated plywood. This cushion fastens to your new or existing "Z" legs with included 8 #14x2 stainless steel screws.

Color Choices:

This cushion is made from UV resistant marine grade vinyl in your choice of

-Solid off white (match for 'desert tan' gel coat found on all 1977-appx 1993 hulls)
-OEM parchment (dark being) with brown piping
-Mid 1990's solid Boston Whaler 'white.'  Boston Whaler's mid 1990s+ 'white' is not a stark bright white and will only match with the Boston Whaler 'white' gel coat.  See last image. 

NOTE:  If you have a pre-1994 Montauk with the welded bow rail and plan on ordering the bow cushion now or in the future, you will want to choose either off white or parchment (the correct colors for your year range).  The Boston Whaler white bow cushion does NOT have the notches for the legs of the bow rail so it will not fit correctly.  

Care and Maintenance Instructions

Note: Holes are not pre-drilled

Note: There are two sizes for this seat. The regular is found on most hulls prior to the 1990's while the larger seat (click here) is found primarily on 1990-1999 classic 17' hulls.

Note: (For installation onto Z-legs) in addition to the wood screws provided, it is recommended to use 5200 Marine Adhesive to attach the cushion to the Z-legs. This is highly recommended for the 18" Z-legs which flex more than the 15" legs. To do this, cut a small patch of mesh off around each screw location and apply adhesive so the wood is adhered directly to the legs.

the bungee cords for the cooler cleats are too large and too short. mine came with 1/4" bungee pieces about 14" long. also, the "S" clip is of no use. I used smaller dia. bungee, and hammock clips to screw into the cooler. now works great.

Seat is nice, except that I ordered it with brown piping. Seat arrived with white piping. Still is a nice seat, just not as ordered.

Very thankful for availability of OEM Whaler parts. Have owned our second generation Montauk 17 since 1977. Awlgripped it once and replaced windshield once and rubrail twice. It remains mostly original. The cushion for the Igloo cooler ahead of the console is stained but still fully functional. Any way to remove black stain? We keep it at or dock on Naples island, Long Beach, and use it frequently.

Another great sale one of several I have had buying Items for my 1987 Boston Whaler Montauk 17 from Specialty Marine .com The seat cushion was well packed will fit perfectly I also recently bought a 3 piece white with black inner rub rail kit from Speciality Marine.com It went on nicely with the help of a friend a longtime original member of the Boston Whaler Wye River Trotlineing Crabbing Crew . There were just enough rivets to do the job securely with the numbers needed to do the bow section I bought my Montauk 17 new from Gates Marine in Deale Md its a true Chesapeake Bay Boston Whaler that has been all over the Chesapeake Bay region Ocean City Maryland and Virginia Beach Thanks so much Specialty Marine for carrying these much needed older Boston Whaler items !
