The finish is good, but not without flaws. There were runs in the finish that show quite prominently. It looks OK, just don't go looking too closely.

The units lack the pre-drilled holes for the mounting brackets. These brackets are on the current units and also in the video links on how to install the units.

Store owner replied: Correct, we do not put holes in any of the wood parts so you can reuse your old hole pattern and not close up and put new holes into your hull.
Saved me many hours work. I am very impressed with the rod holders. They probably have a template and it’s crazy to do it yourself for the money they charge. Great bang for the buck.
