Boston Whaler Dauntless 14' *livewell edition*, Dauntless 16', Dauntless 18' (2002-2006), Dauntless 22', and Montauk 150/170 up to 2008 RPS seat cushion. The seat cushion has an all foam core. These cushions are made from UV resistant marine grade vinyl in Boston Whaler 'white' with grey piping. Includes stainless snaps for installation.
NOTE: Some older model Dauntless may have a seat bottom cushion which has a solid core. You can determine this by removing the cushion. The solid core cushion set can be found here.
After contacting the dealer and getting the correct cushion ordered I couldn't be more happier. The fit is spot on being an after market cushion and the look matching the iconic whaler seating! Easy to install the male snaps. Measure it out where you need them, drill a 1/16 in pilot hole as directed and attach the male snap with supplied screw. This was installed on an '07 190 montauk

Hi Stewart,
Yes, this is common no matter what year simply because Boston Whaler used multiple different companies to produce their cushions and the snap patterns weren't shared/exact. BW installed the male snaps on the boat when they received the cushions from the suppliers. This is notated at the top of each landing page, the care and maintenance instructions linked in each listing/ the instructions link at top of the website/and in the care pamphlet. Glad it worked out otherwise :)
Took a long time to ship and the snaps do no line up with the original configuration.

Hi Steven,
Happy to explain. We are just a single location family run company so during our busy season it can take us a few days to get to an order. You placed your order on 8/4 (still in our busy summer season) and we actually worked on a Saturday (8/8) to get more orders packed up and out faster. Your package was picked up from the warehouse on Monday 8/10. After that UPS was in control of the package.
For the snaps, Boston Whaler utilized multiple different companies to create their cushions and they did not require them to use identical snap patterns. The way we produce our cushions is by finding a customer with an OEM cushion and copying that to a T. So if your cushions were not created in the same factory as the template cushion we used then chances are the snaps will be off. This is why we provide the loose male snaps and instructions in the pamphlet and care and maintenance instructions in each listing about relocating them on your boat with either the provided screws or with 3M 4200 or 5200. We also have videos of this on the Instructions page and within each listing.
As hoped, it was the correct size and fits pretty well…had to add a couple of snaps that didn’t quite line up with to the old ones
The materials could be a little more robust. The inner foam does not fill the corners of the cushion and will need replacement foam with a slightly firmer and perhaps thicker foam.

Hi Thomas,
Due to the vacuum sealing the foam sometimes needs to be massaged out into place and also needs a bit of heat from the sun to loosen up. Let me know if after this has been done the issue still persists.
Great replacement, even the caps fit exactly onto the original sockets.
