Boston Whaler Dauntless 14', Dauntless 16', Dauntless 18', Dauntless 22', and Montauk 150/170 up to 2008 RPS seat and backrest cushion. The seat cushion has an all foam core.  These cushions are made from UV resistant marine grade vinyl in Boston Whaler 'white' with grey piping.  Includes stainless snaps for installation. 

Care and Maintenance Instructions

Note: Some older model Dauntless' may have a seat bottom cushion which has a solid core. You can determine this by removing the cushion. The solid core cushion set can be found here.

Store owner replied: Hi Gregory, The cushions look great! Yes, there is a note in the listing about the stern seat not having a flap. The original template of cushions we got did not have this flap so BW must have changed the design somewhere in their production.

The seat and back pads are real good. In the purchase process you are very clear that snaps may not be in the current location in your, which is true. The extra snaps furnished are a very low quality as I am sure you know. They don’t come close to the quality of your seats.

Store owner replied: Hi Thomas, The snaps we use are nickel plated brass which is an industry standard. Here is some more info on that which I pulled off of google. However, these are also pretty standard size so if you want to find another material you can likely do so pretty easily Pros of Nickel-Plated Brass Corrosion Resistance: Brass does not rust, and the outer nickel plating provides an extra layer of protection against saltwater and humidity. Easy to Install: Brass is softer than stainless steel, making it much easier to crimp and set securely onto canvas or cushion vinyl using standard hand tools. Industry Standard: Many professional marine canvas shops prefer nickel-plated brass because it seats well and holds tightly in regular use. Users on YBW Forum generally reach a consensus that nickel-plated brass is a standard, reliable choice for general marine use. The quality of the cushions is excellent. Shipping was quick and the price was fair. My issue is that snaps came pre installed on the cushions and do not line up with the original snaps on my 2004 160 Dauntless. If i remove and relocate the snaps on the boat, then I am left with a ton snap holes. It would have been better to receive cushions with no snaps installed so I could install them in the correct locations on the cushions to match the existing snaps on my boat. I have not decided what I am going to do yet but likely will add correctly located snaps to the cushions which is far from ideal as then I will have basically double snaps next to eachother.

Store owner replied: Hi Nicholas, Yes, this is notated in a few different pages on the site and reads: Snap locations may vary depending on year and factory your hull was assembled. In the instance that your locations are different than the original templates we procured for replication, there are male snaps/screws provided which can be added to the boat or you can use snap extenders. Old holes can be closed up using 3M 4200 or 5200 marine adhesive. This can also be used to attach new male snaps if you do not want to use the provided screws. Snap extenders may also be an option depending on distance required. Most people do not own or want to purchase a snap gun so having them installed is easier for the majority of customers.
