- 3/4" diameter, 55" height 316 stainless post (Coast Guard regulated height). Can be cut down with pipe cutter and dremel but lens must be above your outboard in its highest position.
Boston Whaler 316 Stainless steel LED stern light, anchor light. Will fit all Classic model boats from 9 - 17ft. Available with or without mounting stanchions. **Will also fit other boats and larger Outrage models if mounted properly (must be proper height above water). Made from high quality, mirror polished 316 stainless steel, Not inferior 304 which, is what some other vendors use. This item uses a BA15S/1156 light source.
Wiring: If wired individually to a switch, use a 3 amp fuse. If combining a bow light to the same switch/circuit, use a 7.5 amp fuse. (If running with dual bow lights, use a 20 amp fuse) LED only. Also, the white wire is hot and should be noted with red tape to indicate it was tested prior to sending.
Note: Thread tape should be used to reduce the risk of water intrusion due to rattling the lens loose and losing a solid seal between the lens and the gasket.
Reducing height of light: If you plan on cutting down your light to a more desirable height please follow these instructions. There is a rubber stopper tightly inserted in the bottom of the tube. Not only is the stopper in the pipe but the wires are also snug in the plug holes. It may be difficult to remove the stopper from the outside. If that is the case, carefully make your cut while the wires are still inside and the light is still assembled. There will be a bit of slack in the wires inside the tube so when you make the cut and go to separate the two new pieces of tubing you will have some room to do so. Once the pipe is cut, take any long hard poker and push the plug out from the inside of the short tube. Once pushed out, you may need a bit of soapy water or other lubricant to remove the wires and also to reinsert them into the new bottom of your pole.

I found the fixture pretty easy to install. I made it about six inches shorter with a tubing cutter.
My experience so far has not been very extensive yet. However, I was able to easily locate and order the product I needed. The product also arrived well packaged, and in great condition. I even experienced an unexpected level of honesty and transparency on the part of the company, in the event of a slight error in one of the fees applied to the price of the product. I can’t say anything yet about how the product works, or my level of satisfaction with that. I will need to access help to install it. I am optimistic about it though, and had an overall great experience acquiring this product from this company.

The new Stern Light is Great. It fit in my existing Stand-offs. I also love that it came with the connectors. It was very easy to connect to power, and very bright. No more worries about a bulb working, or not working, while on the water at night.

The stern light mast and light are very well made from topnotch materials. It is a full cut above that which is available from popular marine suppliers. It is also accurately reproduced to look exactly like the OEM parts on my 1986 17' Super Sport. I already have installed a Specialty Marine new full wooden interior kit, which is spectacular. Finally, dealing with Specialty Marine online was a breeze, and the shipping was very fast. I highly recommend Specialty Marine to those wishing to keep their vintage Boston Whalers looking that way!
