CUSHIONS
Cushions will attach either with Velcro straps, snaps, or a combination of both. Each cushion will come with the female snaps attached however snap locations may vary depending on the year and factory your hull was assembled. In this instance, there are male snaps and screws provided which can be added to the boat. 4200 or 5200 Marine Adhesive can be used to close old holes and can also be used in lieu of the screws. Snap extenders can also be used in some instances.
To install new snaps on the boat simply lay the cushion in place, lift slightly, mark with a pen or sharpie, and drill a pilot hole using 1/16" drill bit.
Some cushions are vacuum sealed to reduce shipping charges. We have now stopped wrapping our foam in plastic bags as they inevitably fail over time causing water to be incapable of escape leading to molded and heavy cushions. If the cushion comes with the foam wrapped in plastic, follow instructions on this orange card for applying the sealing sticker to the plastic foam covering before use. You can also simply remove the plastic altogether if you prefer. The majority of cushions will come vacuum sealed with no plastic on the foam. They are ready to use after the pre and post care maintenance instructions are read.
